At North Mass, we’re a destination for every creative person, especially those locally. Beyond our welcoming spaces there is a community wall dedicated to multi-medium art available for both showcase and purchase. Through inspiration of body, mind, & movement there will always be something exhibited that represents who we are as a collective.

Garrett Langebartels
Garrett Langebartels is a multi-disciplinary painter, furniture maker and musician based in Indianapolis whose work explores the boundaries of abstraction through acrylic on canvas and plywood. Rooted in the traditions of Abstract Expressionism, his paintings engage with color, geometry, and rhythm, drawing inspiration from the likes of Wassily Kandinsky, Josef Albers, and Agnes Martin. Langebartels’ compositions often hover between structure and spontaneity, channeling emotion through carefully balanced forms and layered textures. Working intuitively, he seeks to create visual experiences that invite contemplation and emotional resonance, free from literal representation. Langebartels embraces imperfection and process, emphasizing the act of painting as both meditative and expressive. His practice reflects a deep personal inquiry into perception, harmony, and the unspoken language of abstraction.
